I'm Paulo Henrique, born and raised in São Paulo, where I build my career.

I started my professional journey as an apprentice at Santander in 2017, where I had my first contact with programming by automating reports with VBA and Python. What began as spreadsheet automation grew into a career in data engineering — pipelines, Big Data with Spark, Python libraries, and dashboards for business teams.

In 2021 I made an intentional shift: I joined Itaú to become a software engineer. Over the following years I specialized in backend development with Python and AWS, then expanded into frontend with TypeScript and Angular — delivering the authorization service that became the access backbone for multiple bank products, and the Access Management screen. I was promoted from Junior to Senior along the way, earning two PRADs (High Performance Recognition Awards) in the process.

In January 2026 I returned to data — now as a Senior Data Engineer, leading the modernization of the entire data infrastructure for Itaú's customer service area on AWS. In the middle of that work, I built a clustering project using OpenAI embeddings and K-Means to identify the main customer pain points. The result hooked me: it's what led me to start a Post-Graduate program in AI Scientist at FIAP + Alura.
